Welsh Charter
What is the Welsh Charter?
The intention of the Welsh Charter is to inspire children and young people to use the Welsh language in all aspects of life. On the classroom floor, the school yard, while eating lunch, on the bus home, while playing with friends... we can work and enjoy using the Welsh language every day. We can also encourage and support all members of the school family, governors, lunch staff, cleaners, the local community and our families to learn, use and enjoy the Welsh language!
Targets 23 - 24
We have recently won the silver award and are actively working towards the Gold award.
Annually, we celebrate Shwmae Su'mae Day, Star and Spark Day, Wales Music Day as well as St David's Day and any other days that promote Welshness in our pupils' daily lives.
Our targets this year will be to connect more and more with the local community including working together with local schools such as Llanedeyrn Primary and Ysgol Bro Edern.
